先日は積雪もあり、めっきり冬らしくなってきましたね～
冬は車の運転が大変ですが、私はスノーボードシーズンの到来にひとりワクワク
しています。
さて、イングリッシュフォーユー長野校のロビーでは、今日もSamB先生がペインティングにいそしんでいます
高校生にも手伝ってもらって作っているこれは、一体なんでしょう～

胃腸炎から完全復活しました…
先週は急にお休みしてしまい、色々ご迷惑をおかけしました。気を付けます…
（インフルエンザじゃなくて良かったー！）
というわけで～
先週末、妹の住む京都へ、紅葉狩りも兼ねて行ってきました！
京都は好きな街で、妹が住んでいることもあり、年に１度は必ず行きますが、やっぱり紅葉のピークの時期はどこも観光客でいーーっぱい。並ぶ、待つ、のは当たり前。
そして今回の旅の１つの目的は、【瑠璃光院】へ行くこと！
普段は一般公開されてなく、春と秋だけ特別拝観期間があるんです。（今年はちょっと長め！）
市内から電車とバスを乗り継いで50分。
着いたーーっ！！
と思ったら、超がつくほど長蛇の列。
軽く2時間は待ちました。もっと早起きすればヨカター！
でも…いいんです…
この景色を見たら、待った甲斐があったと思えました。（ちょっとここだと画質が悪くて残念。）
本気で一眼レフデビューしようかな、と思った旅でした。

今年もユーキャンの新語・流行語大賞のノミネート語が発表されましたね。
この時期になるとそういえば今年はこんなことあったなぁ、なんて思います。
特に芸能界は怒涛のように、次から次へとスキャンダルがありましたね。
某国民的アイドルの解散騒動がかなり衝撃的でした。
あと、なんといっても夏はオリンピックで日本中が沸き、
Pokemon GOが社会現象になりましたね。
そして自分が今一番気になっている人はこの人！
残念ながらノミネートされませんでしたが・・・
新語ではないからなんですかね。

On November 24th we will have Thanksgiving in America. Thanksgiving is a very popular American holiday that many people celebrate by getting together with their family and sometimes close friends and eat a lot of food. The most important item is the turkey. Turkey is the traditional centerpiece on the table for thanksgiving.
Along with it, many people like to enjoy mash potatoes, gravy, green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce, biscuits, salads, and many more.
So from me to all of you, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving.

先日、仲の良い女子4人で上田にパン巡りの旅に出かけてきました！
上田市内にある、4つのパン屋さんはどれもとってもオシャレで、しかも体に良さそうなパンばっかり！
写真は訪れた場所の１つ
ここは、パン屋さんと本屋さんが１つになったカフェで１日ゆーっくり入れそうな雰囲気の良い素敵な場所でした。
個人的に上田は、上田城の周りやショッピングモールにしかいったことがなく、まさかこんなに素敵なパン屋さんに沢山行けるとは思わず、たのしいプチトリップになりました！

One of the biggest reasons I returned to Japan is the nature. I’ve always been amazed by the beauty of the mountains, forests, and rivers of Japan. I had never been to Nagano before September of last year, and I had no idea how beautiful some of the places around here are.
The path to Okusha in Togakushi is almost unreal in how lush and green it is, and it’s still one of the first places
I take tourists when they visit. I always look forward to fall, my favorite season, because the changing colors of the trees are spectacular in their variety. It’s almost like someone took the time to plant different trees all over the mountains so they would get a good mix!
This year, things seem to have gotten really cold super quickly, and I seem to have missed out on the chance to see the mountain leaves, but I’m trying to soak in as much from my local parks as I can while I have the chance. If you have a moment, take a look outside our building! The park is gorgeous!

今回のアメリカの大統領選は、異例の大接戦でしたね。
私も自分の国のこと以上にソワソワして速報を見ていました。
アメリカにいる友達にこの結果は想定外だったようで、
"What are you doing, America!?"
（何やってんだよ、アメリカ！）
"Is this really happening? I'm scared."
（これって実際に起こってるわけ？怖っ。）
など、私のFacebookは非難や落胆の声であふれ返っています。
もう４年後の大統領選までのカウントダウンサイトまでできていました。
すんごい嫌われよう。笑
私も彼の発言や外見が強烈すぎて、政策が頭に入ってこないというのが本音です。
そんな彼ですが、過去に有名な映画に出てたことを最近知りました。

以前にブログでもご案内しましたが、今週の水曜日から参観月間が始まりました！
年に2回の参観月間では、毎回たくさんの保護者の方々にご参観頂いています。
子供たちの頑張りと成長、そして楽しんでレッスンを受けてる様子を見て、保護者の方々からはもう既にたくさんの感動のお言葉を頂いています！
参観月間は今月24日木曜日までとなり、その後11月25日金曜日〜12月1日木曜日は祖父母参観週間となります。ご予約は随時受け付けております！
是非たくさんの保護者様、そしておじいちゃんおばあちゃんにお会いできるのを講師、スタッフ一同楽しみにしております！

Hello everyone! This is your favorite teacher Alex writing to you about our great Halloween party!
So, this year went really good I think. We got lucky this year because the weather was pretty good. Not too hot and not too cold. For the kid’s party, I want to say that everyone’s costumes were awesome! I hope that everyone had fun and got a lot of candy! I hope that everyone will come again next year and we can have an even bigger party!
Also, I really enjoyed the adults Halloween party too. I hope that everyone got to try all the different foods that we had. Sadly, the chocolate dip we had started to burn and then didn’t stay soft, I hope you were able to eat it before that. Lots of people came in some great costumes, and sadly we couldn’t pick everyone to win a prize for the costume contest. But next year is another chance to be one of the lucky few!
I hope that you all had a fun and safe Halloween. Next year we want to make our English For You Halloween party even better!
